}One shape for every agency
Eight state and territory agencies publish fires and warnings in eight different formats. The API gives you all of them in one consistent schema, with stable ids.
Levels only as issued
Advice, Watch and Act and Emergency Warning come only from the agency's own level field, never inferred from a status, a size or a headline.
Freshness on every source
Each source says when it was last confirmed with its publisher and whether it's current, stale or down, so a failed feed never reads as "no fires".
Beyond warnings
Fire danger ratings and total fire bans, satellite heat, road closures, power outages, air quality, planned burns and more, on the same footing.
Credits included
Every response carries each publisher's attribution, licence and disclaimer, so you can show the data the way its owners ask.
Fast and kind to publishers
Served from our edge cache, fetched once for everyone. Your traffic never lands on an agency's site.
